Scenes include an extended opening that works considerably better as an introduction and flows better in general, a new sequence at the Rivendell round table where Boromir attempts to take the ring, extended bits in the mines of Moria (as well as a new scene right before), a scene where Blanchett's Galadriel gives gifts as the Fellowship exits
Regarding Lord of the Rings: first, I'd like to address a few pieces of misinformation from my 4K reviews last year: contrary to initial reports, the 2160p transfers of these three films (which includes their theatrical and extended cuts) were not in fact true 4K presentations, but rather 2K upscales.

Yes. Watch them. For me there are only the extended editions, they are the definitive cut for me 😂 definitely watch them, much much better in terms of connecting things and explaining motivations for some of the characters, especially Boromir. Ya Boromir is humanized quite a hit. I agree except for Fellowship.
